LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., Oct. 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- In recognition of his charitable contribution to the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation, Howard Fensterman was honored by famed novelist, Nelson DeMille, who, for the second time, is using the highly recognized Long Island-based lawyer's name for a character in his book. Appearing first as an Agent and Special Attache to Yemen in Panther, DeMille's previous novel, Fensterman has been promoted in the recently-released novel, Radiant Angel, and appears as a Supervisory Agent in the New York City office of the FBI.
"As a practicing attorney, I have the privilege of helping my clients navigate the complex legal challenges of today's difficult market environment," said Howard Fensterman. "As a businessman, I work hard to achieve the competitive and commercial goals my partners and I establish for our enterprises. And, as a philanthropist, I look to contribute to organizations with a proven track record of improving the lives of people across the country and around the world. In all my endeavors, I am laser-focused on real-world events and on applying real-world solutions. So, it is quite a kick to have my name associated with a fictional character who is not constrained by reality and who enjoys living on the edge," Fensterman noted.
DeMille has been known to name characters in his books in return for generous charitable contributions. Radiant Angel takes us to the doorsteps of a new Cold War that is targeting Manhattan. It once again features John Corey, who left the Anti-Terrorist Task Force for a wind-down assignment in New York, and who takes a job working with the Diplomatic Surveillance Group. While surveilling diplomats at the U.N., he quickly recognizes the threat of a newly resurgent Russia. Corey reports to Fensterman, the FBI Supervisor who runs the Diplomatic Surveillance Group in New York.
When not an "FBI Supervisor", Howard Fensterman is the Managing Partner of Abrams Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara & Wolf, LLP. The law firm of Abrams Fensterman serves clients throughout the New York metropolitan area from offices in Lake Success, Long Island, New York City, Rochester and Brooklyn.
