NEW YORK, March 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Touchstorm, the premier source for online video distribution and content development, today announced that its Howdini-branded informational video content is now available in French, Portuguese, Spanish and Japanese, and will be available in additional languages including German, Chinese and Russian in 2012.
With existing videos currently available in the designated languages via closed captioning, Touchstorm is in the process of adding voice-over audio to accommodate all languages. In addition, Touchstorm will begin launching original language how-to video starting with a series of Spanish language videos that launched in November 2011.
With over 25 multi-lingual publishing partners, Touchstorm plans to implement the added language capabilities across its entire client base, delivering global scale and added reach to all relevant existing content. Recognizing that over 70% of YouTube viewership comes from outside of the United States, the expansion provides Touchstorm and its partners with access to an exponentially larger marketplace and a global audience.
"Because so many of our client partners have strong international brand recognition and because our editorial distribution network has global reach, adding broad language capabilities will have an immediate impact on Howdini's viewership, ultimately driving conversion for our partners," said Alison Provost, Chief Executive Officer of Touchstorm. "As we continue to deliver ways for brands to achieve reach and engagement through online video, expanding to new markets will remain a commitment in 2012 and beyond."
