OAK BROOK, Ill., July 7, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Hub Group (NASDAQ: HUBG) announced recently that Douglas G. Beck has been named Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel, effective July 1st. Mr. Beck has been serving as interim Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel with Hub Group since January 5, 2015.
"Doug brings an excellent legal background coupled with a common sense approach to problems and opportunities," said David P. Yeager, Chairman and CEO of Hub Group. In his role, Mr. Beck is responsible for managing the Legal, Human Resources and Compliance departments.
Mr. Beck has more than 20 years of experience advising companies through private practice and as a legal executive. He has experience in all aspects of corporate legal practice including U.S and international mergers and acquisitions, securities law, litigation, commercial transactions, regulatory affairs, employment and labor relations, and corporate compliance. He began his career with Hub Group in June 2011 as Assistant General Counsel. Prior to joining Hub Group, Mr. Beck served as Senior Counsel with Alberto-Culver Company from 2007 to 2011. He previously held counsel positions at Navistar International Corporation, Allegiance Healthcare Corporation and Seyfarth Shaw. In 2009, he was recognized with the Values Award at Alberto-Culver for his exemplary work. Mr. Beck earned a Juris Doctor degree from the Northwestern University School of Law in 1992 and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1987.
