KRAKOW, Poland, Sept. 12, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Founded by Deutsche Telekom, hub:raum Krakow has helped startups across Central and Eastern Europe accelerate their businesses. Based on years of research and experience, hub:raum Krakow's WARP Sprints program gives startups the tools they need for success. A new quality of the program stems from an innovative approach based on early internal preparation of a corporation to absorb innovation within specific areas, sprint model and better feedback offered to startups.
New concept
This year, hub:raum Krakow introduces a new version of the WARP Accelerator program: the WARP Sprints, which provides startups with internal preparation from the DT group, three verticals for each quarter, and a faster Accelerator program with more accurate feedback. hub:raum Krakow's WARP Sprints program helps to identify the needs of a corporation searching for investments in innovation, the requirements and improvements that startups need to meet, and find a solution that will bring those two different worlds together to create ground-breaking innovation.
Top Venturing Lessons Learned for Corporations, incorporated into WARP Sprints program:
- Create an internal ecosystem of stakeholders, internal customers and processes
- Prepare to absorb innovations and new products
- Adapt in order to incubate and absorb innovation.
Another crucial thing is the timeframe of the whole program. Working with startups, corporations need to remember that most of the time their resources are limited. Therefore the only successful model for working with them is to operate fast, prototype, lead iterations and, based on all this, make fast and accurate decisions.
"hub:raum believes that this can be a very pragmatic approach and therefore presents a new level of quality on the market – within a month, a clear cooperation plan with a startup is defined. Together, we then make a decision whether to further cooperate or not. And if so, on what terms – so that both sides can benefit the most. hub:raum is a partner for startups during this whole process. The aim is to learn very fast during this month and gain as much as it is possible," says Jakub Probola, Head of hub:raum for CEE region.
Carefully selected verticals each quarter
Another big change that most corporate programs for startups lack is wisely selecting the main focus areas for each quarter. First, the organizing team carries out specific research within the Deutsche Telekom Group to later identify the most important points of interest for both the corporation and both its internal and external clients. Recognizing those verticals allows the corporation to absorb innovation within those areas. This means better feedback for startups as the company knows how the market works, what they're looking for, as well as the needs of their clients. After careful research done within DT Group, hub:raum Krakow has chosen for this quarter three verticals for first edition of WARP Sprints – Smart City, Logistics and Transportation and Omnichannel.
