Local entrepreneur Eddie Patel plans June 22 opening for 24-hour family restaurant
TOWNSEND, Ga., June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Townsend residents will soon be able to enjoy "Any Meal. Any Time." with the opening of the city's first Huddle House restaurant. Local entrepreneur and new Huddle House franchisee Eddie Patel has scheduled a June 22 opening for the iconic 24-hour family restaurant located at 2201 GA HWY 57, adjacent to Patel's Motel 6, which he opened last May.
"Whether it's for meetings, lunch breaks or Sunday morning gatherings, the community can enjoy our southern style menu any time of the day," Patel said. "I'm confident we will quickly become a popular gathering place for Townsend residents, as well as our motel guests."
The Townsend Huddle House restaurant is a freestanding location that reflects the 51-year-old chain's new look and branding. It will seat up to 84 people and Patel says Huddle House is a perfect fit for Townsend.
"There was a need in Townsend for a comfortable, local place for everyday people who crave Southern home-style food," Patel said. "What I really like about the Huddle House concept is that it really does become a local gathering place in every community."
Typically open 24 hours, Huddle House serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all day. The menu offers a mix of Southern inspired comfort food, including signature Big House breakfasts, crispy hash browns, creamy grits, golden waffles and fluffy omelets, all made to order. Other favorites include Big Bold Burgers, Big House sandwich platters, country fried steak with green beans and marinated grilled chicken with sweet potato fries.
With more than 400 restaurants open or under development, Huddle House is aggressively expanding with plans to open an additional 100 restaurants over the next three years.
