Hundreds Gather for Elderwerks Aging Better Expo: Education, Resources, and Community Connections

PALATINE, Ill., Sept. 4, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Elderwerks hosted its 12th annual Aging Better Expo on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, at Stonegate Banquets in Hoffman Estates, drawing an impressive turnout of more than 575 in-person attendees and 60+ virtual participants. The event brought together 220 professionals, 90 senior resource booths, and offered 12 educational classes designed to empower older adults, caregivers, and professionals with tools and knowledge to age well.

This year's Expo highlighted the power of fun, friendship, and knowledge in navigating the aging process. Attendees enjoyed connecting with local experts, discovering valuable resources, and participating in interactive educational sessions covering topics such as health, wellness, financial planning, caregiving, and community living.

Behind the scenes, the event was made possible with the help of more than 35 dedicated volunteers who welcomed guests, assisted vendors, and ensured the day ran smoothly.

"I love everything about Elderwerks—from Stepping Out to Fitness to the classes and the Aging Better Expo. This was my fourth year volunteering at the Expo, and I'm always impressed by the wealth of information on all things aging," said Carol Pfister, Elderwerks volunteer and attendee.

The Expo floor was filled with vibrant energy as guests explored booths featuring services ranging from healthcare and senior living to financial planning and in-home care. Many attendees expressed gratitude for the ability to ask questions directly to professionals and find guidance tailored to their needs.

Attendees such as Diane Czubek and Marianne Loughman appreciated the accessible information and professional expertise the Expo presented.

"The classes and resources are excellent—they help us plan for the future and give us tools to support our friends and family with aging resources," Czubek said.

"This was the most wonderful experience—full of information I wasn't expecting. I gained knowledge that will help me in the future. Elderwerks is amazing," Loughman said.

The strong turnout and enthusiastic feedback underscored the impact Elderwerks continues to have in helping older adults and caregivers navigate the aging journey.
