Huntington Bank to Add Signage, Expand Presence at Regional Headquarters in Charlotte

Latest investment reflects Huntington's commitment to the Carolinas

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Sept. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Huntington National Bank (Huntington) today announced plans to add Huntington signage and expand its presence at its regional headquarters in Charlotte, underscoring the bank's long-term commitment to the Carolinas as it continues to grow across the region. 

The signage will be installed at the top of the One South office tower, located at 101 S. Tryon St. in uptown Charlotte. Huntington opened its regional headquarters at One South in 2023, and today colleagues spanning its business segments, as well as a wide range of operational and support functions, are based in the building and help advance priorities across the enterprise. 

Through its expansion at its regional headquarters, Huntington will occupy all of the 39th and 40th floors of One South, bringing its total space in the 40-story building to four full floors. The expansion will support Huntington's ongoing growth in North Carolina and South Carolina, adding to the several hundred colleagues already located at One South and other locations across the greater Charlotte area.

Elevated Visibility in the Heart of Charlotte's Financial District 

One South, owned by Monarch Alternative Capital and Tourmaline Capital Partners and leased and managed by Trinity Partners, is a Class A building at the intersection of Trade and Tryon streets, in the heart of Charlotte's financial district. Huntington's signage will face South Tryon Street, giving the bank's name a prominent position on the city's skyline. Installation of the signage is expected in the coming weeks.

The signage will be fabricated and installed by SouthWood Corporation, a veteran-owned company headquartered in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Designed with programmable lighting, the signage will feature the bank's signature green and have the ability to change colors, enabling Huntington to join other buildings across uptown in recognizing community moments and other shared observances. 

Deepening Roots Across Charlotte and the Carolinas 

Huntington's planned addition of signage and expansion at its regional headquarters in Charlotte build on the significant investments it has made in the Carolinas. 

Huntington has steadily grown its presence in the Carolinas over the past several years, extending its expertise and capabilities to more customers and communities throughout both states. That growth includes the bank's 2023 Commercial Banking expansion into the Carolinas; the expansion of its capital markets presence in Charlotte, a regional hub for that activity; and its 2024 announcement of plans to open approximately 55 branches across the region. As part of those plans, Huntington has opened 14 full-service branches serving 10 markets in the Carolinas, with more locations expected to come online as the branch buildout in the region continues.
