CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 4, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Husqvarna Group in North America announced a price increase for the 2012 model year of walk-behind mowers across its family of brands; including Weed Eater®, Poulan®, Poulan Pro® and Husqvarna® brands.Husqvarna estimates the impact on the Manufacturers Suggested Retail Price to be on average a 15% increase.
"This decision is driven by new regulatory requirements for greener emission standards as well as commodity price increases," noted Michael Jones, President - North and Latin American.
Husqvarna manufactures its walk-behind lawn mowers in McRae, Georgia.
