Hyatt Centric Arlington Announces 'Drinking & Dining' Additions

New locally inspired dishes and cocktails introduced at Key Bridge Terrace and cityhouse

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 30, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyatt Centric Arlington is rolling out a new Drinking & Dining program on the heels of joining Hyatt's new Hyatt Centric portfolio of hotels. Following a recent renovation, the property's food & beverage offerings have been refreshed to align with the Centric brand's focus on thoughtfully crafted experiences that are inspired by the destination. Helmed by Assistant F&B Director TJ Daniels and Chef de Cuisine Robert Osborne, the new programming encompasses updates to cityhouse restaurant and Key Bridge Terrace, a sophisticated metropolitan bar and lounge on the lobby level.

The signature restaurant, cityhouse, serves a menu of Gastro Pub cuisine featuring fresh, local ingredients in a casual-meets-upscale setting. During the hotel's renovation, the space was brightened with copper-clad lighting fixtures, vibrant red midcentury-inspired dining chairs and an accent wall decked in a white and gold damask pattern. There, guests and locals can enjoy a light breakfast, business lunch, or sumptuous dinner seven days a week. Two private dining rooms are also available for intimate celebrations. Seasonal menu highlights include Charred Branzino, Flying Dog Braised Short Rib, Boursin Basted Aspin Ridge Tomahawk Ribeye, Chesapeake Bay Crab with a Smoked Serrano Aioli and the Signature Open Faced Salmon BLT. House-made ice-cream sandwich sliders are among the variety of decadent desserts. To emphasize the property's culinary enhancements and engage patrons, a series of special wine pairing dinners with local wineries is in the works.

Hyatt Centric Arlington also introduces the revitalization of Key Bridge Terrace, an original drinking and dining experience comprised of local culinary flavors and an exciting new menu of premium spirits, wine and beer. The bar features a contemporary feel with modern tones and lighting fixtures. In the evening, enjoy a fine wine, microbrew or handcrafted cocktail with views of neighboring Washington, D.C. Seasonal craft cocktail selections range from the Ginger Snap and Duck Duck Mule with Aylesbury Duck vodka, to the Hot Toddy with Bärenjäger Honey Liqueur, apricot and Earl Grey Tea, and Fruitcake Sour with Caña Brava rum, Disaronno, Aperol and seasonal fruit and spice flavors. Local Barboursville Chardonnay and brews from Blue Mountain, Bold Rock, Evolution, Flying Dog and Jailbreak emphasize the Centric brand's commitment to local sourcing. In addition, all beer on tap is available in 64oz. refillable growlers to-go.

To pair with the dynamic beverage program, crave-worthy bites like Tuna Poke, Local Hatfield Farms Pork Belly Street Tacos, House-made Mumbo Wings, Ginger Ponzu Bao Buns, Crispy Arborio Mac n Cheese, and house Virginia peanut and caramel Kennel Corn are offered. Guests can enjoy a selection of food and drink specials during Happy Hour from 5-7pm on weeknights.
