Hybrid News Group Revenue up by 69% in 2016 to Reach £2.5 Million
BRISTOL, England, December 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --
- 69 percent revenue growth
- New offices in Kuala Lumpur and Sydney
- Bold plans to grow visitors to 25m a month
Bolstered by the development of their branded content unit 'Hybrid Create', the independent media company has reached £2.5 million in revenue for the December to December financial year. These numbers represent a 69 percent increase on figures from the previous year, and Hybrid's Finance Manager, David Bond, states the company has managed to dramatically increase profit margins by 74 percent.
"Setting up our content and delivery hub in Kuala Lumpur has not only increased our regional reporting coverage across Asia but also helped us to maintain a competitive cost structure," Managing Director of Hybrid News Group, James Craven, says.
Hybrid News Group operates a global portfolio of websites including AsianCorrespondent.com, TechWireAsia.com, TravelWireAsia.com and StudyInternational.com. This year has seen the organisation partner with a range of leading brands, including Oracle, Japan Airlines, Intercontinental Hotel Group, and Kings College London.
"We're very proud to work with some of the biggest brands in the world, connecting them with quality editorial so they can tell their story and engage our global readers," Craven explains.
In November, Hybrid's web portfolio reached over six million unique visitors, according to data from Quantcast. In 2017, Hybrid News Group plans to grow its reach and readership by over 400 percent. James Craven suggests that the company is readily-prepared to boost these numbers further throughout the coming year.
According to Hybrid's MD, "Our investment in content…journalism, video and audio in the coming 12 months means we will increase monthly visitors to 25 million by the end of 2017. We are very ambitious about what we can achieve in the next two to three years. "
