Hylant Group Names Michael Gilbert President of Indianapolis Office
TOLEDO, Ohio, July 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Hylant Group, one of the largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms in the nation, has hired Michael Gilbert to lead its Indianapolis office. In his role, Gilbert will be responsible for the overall management, direction and growth of the office.
Gilbert is an industry veteran and proven leader. Prior to joining Hylant Group, he served as Executive Senior Vice President of First Merchants Insurance Group. Under his guidance, gross revenue increased substantially along with his employee base, which nearly doubled during his tenure. He was responsible for negotiating multiple agency acquisitions, in which he designed and implemented plans for successful culture integration. Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana named Gilbert "Agent of the Year" in 2008 and "Director of the Year" in 2010.
