Hylant Group Professional Receives Elite Credentialing from American Hospital Association
Laura Fisher achieves Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management designation
TOLEDO, Ohio, Feb. 29, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Hylant Group, one of the largest privately owned insurance brokerage firms in the nation, recognized Laura Fisher for earning the Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) designation from the American Hospital Association (AHA) Certification Center. This CPHRM is a national credential that distinguishes an individual as being among the elite in the healthcare risk management profession.
Fisher has been in the commercial insurance industry for more than eight years. At Hylant, she concentrates on working with large, complex healthcare clients in assessing exposures and coverage needs, conducting claims analyses, and developing risk management and insurance program options.
"By earning the CPHRM, Laura continues to demonstrate her commitment and focus to the healthcare industry," said Steve Bogart, Senior Vice President and Medical Risk Practice Leader at Hylant. "Her experience and education is a critical component in our ability to address the changing exposures affecting our medical risk clients."
To earn the CPHRM, an individual must satisfy eligibility requirements that incorporate a blend of professional experience and education, agree to adhere to the AHA Professional Standards of Conduct, and pass the CPHRM Certification Examination. The CPHRM exam assesses knowledge required of a competent healthcare risk manager in the areas of Loss Prevention/Reduction, Claims Management, Risk Financing, Regulatory/Accreditation Compliance, Operations, and Bioethics.
The CPHRM Program supports the community of healthcare risk managers and is designed to provide an aggressive and rigorous assessment of mastery of a well-defined body of professional knowledge.
