Drivers have a new alternative for short and long term ridesharing rentals

Los Angeles startup, HyreCar, a peer-to-peer car sharing marketplace that connects thousands of vehicle owners with potential drivers, can now directly sign up drivers for Lyft. The majority of cars on the platform come pre-certified for ridesharing under Lyft's vehicle requirements, enabling new and existing drivers to find a car, get on the road and start earning in as little as 24 hours.

Drivers can also experiment with a variety of cars; if their vehicle qualifies only for the standard Lyft service, they can now rent a car specifically for Lyft Premier, increasing their earnings per trip. And, perhaps most importantly, HyreCar's rentals are available to anybody over the age of 21, provided they pass the security checks.
