Hyundai And Quaker State Launch Lubricants Program To Expand Express Oil Change Program

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Hyundai Motor America today announced a relationship with Shell Oil to recommend its Quaker State^® branded motor oils for Hyundai's dealer network as part of a new lubricants program. No one knows motor oil better than Quaker State and no one changes oil in Hyundai vehicles better than Hyundai dealership technicians. Beginning in March, Hyundai dealers participating in the Hyundai Lubricants Program will provide Quaker State branded motor oils for the vehicles they service. Hyundai also uses Quaker State as the primary supplier of initial motor oil for its vehicles as they roll off the assembly line.

Hyundai dealers will have the Quaker State Advanced Durability^® Conventional Motor Oil, Quaker State Enhanced Durability Synthetic Blend^® Motor Oil, Quaker State Defy Synthetic Blend High Mileage^® Motor Oil, and Quaker State Ultimate Durability Full Synthetic^® Motor Oil available for customers. The Quaker State team, in addition to the motor oil, will also provide dealer-level marketing support, program training and upgraded dispensing equipment. Hyundai cars and SUVs in the U.S. will have stickers in the engine compartment and references in the owner's manuals recommending Quaker State branded motor oil to customers. The engine compartment recommendation stickers allow customers to establish a tangible connection between both companies. Dealerships will be encouraged to use co-branded advertising as part of the Hyundai Lubricants Program.

This relationship with Shell Oil and Quaker State further bolsters Hyundai Motor America's move to offer Assurance Car Care Express service centers in dealerships. Assurance Car Care Express allows Hyundai dealerships to provide customers with quick oil changes, multi-point vehicle inspections, tire rotation, air and cabin filter replacements, wiper blades, and other basic services as needed. The goal is to get customers in and out of the service drive in less than an hour. The marketing tagline for Hyundai Assurance Car Care Express is "Get in, Get out, Get back to your life".
