Hyundai Motor America Served As The Presenting Sponsor Of The Tamayo Art Gallery Grand Opening

COSTA MESA, Calif., May 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- To commemorate Latin American art and culture, Hyundai Motor America announced it has partnered with Tamayo Restaurant and served as the presenting sponsor of the Tamayo Art Gallery grand opening in East Los Angeles.  A special recognition event was held last Friday at the Tamayo Restaurant & Art Gallery, where works from Vladimir Cora, Jazzamoart and Esau Andrade were on display.

Hyundai's participation in the event is part of its larger corporate social responsibility efforts to support education in local communities through the arts and cultural enrichment. Hyundai is an active member of the Latino community in Los Angeles and has proudly partnered with TELACU, Museum of Latin American Art, and East LA (LAUSD) schools.

The grand opening celebration featured the distinctive artistic styles of Mexican artists Vladimir Cora, Jazzamoart and Esau Andrade. The event also featured a book signing with author and renowned Hispanic marketing executive Richard Montanez. Montanez, Vice President of Branding and Sales for PepsiCo, is the author of "A Boy, A Burrito, and A Cookie: From Janitor to Executive."  In his book, he details the uplifting story about his ability to use his cultural background to help him succeed in corporate America.

Tamayo Restaurant & Art Gallery

Tamayo Restaurant first opened its doors in 1988. Named after renowned Mexican artist, Maestro Rufino Tamayo, the restaurant today displays some of Tamayo's unique artwork, including three canvases created by the artist exclusively for the restaurant.
