IABC/Chicago Announces 2010 Bronze Quill Award Winners

CHICAGO, June 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The Chicago chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC/Chicago) has announced the winners of the 2010 IABC/Chicago Bronze Quill Awards.

"The Bronze Quill awards recognize Chicago-area communicators for excellence, especially in communication strategy and measurement," said Ken Groh, director of awards for IABC/Chicago and principal of Groh & Associates. "Although graphic design, quality writing and project implementation are key elements to any successful award-winning project or campaign, IABC judges place greater emphasis on results and how the communicator designed and implemented the communication strategy. This year's 18 winners have proven that an outstanding communication program or project can help an organization succeed."

IABC/Chicago Bronze Quill award winners are Chicago-area business communicators who completed a significant communication project in 2009 that embodied excellence in one of three categories: communication management (projects, programs, and campaigns guided by a communication strategy), communication skills (communication that demonstrates skills such as writing, editing and design), and communication creative (projects that showcase creative talent and design that also perform communication functions).

The Bronze Quill award winners received their awards at the final event of the IABC/Chicago 2009-2010 program year. The June 15 dinner also recognized the chapter's volunteers and featured a keynote address by Keith Burton, president of Insidedge, an employee communications consulting firm.
