Ian Levine and Blair Nelson join Gordon Brothers Group to Lead Business Development and Corporate Development

BOSTON, Feb. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gordon Brothers Group, a global advisory, restructuring and investment firm specializing in the retail, consumer products, industrial and real estate sectors, announced the appointment of Ian Levine as Managing Director, Head of Business Development and Blair Nelson as Managing Director, Corporate Development to Gordon Brothers Group's management team.

As Managing Director, Head of Business Development, Mr. Levine is responsible for overseeing the Business Development and Marketing functions. Mr. Levine will work closely with the divisional and corporate leadership teams to further develop existing opportunities and source new clients across the firm.

In his new role as Managing Director, Corporate Development, Mr. Nelson is responsible for the development and execution of strategic initiatives across the firm including supporting planning efforts and assessing new business opportunities.

Prior to joining Gordon Brothers Group, Mr. Levine led sales and marketing strategies at Iron Mountain and Merrill Corporation.  He has also created several SaaS businesses and is a member of the Board of Directors of Latitude Beverage Company and the New England Chapter of the Sales Management Association.  He holds a BS from Boston University School of Management.

Before joining Gordon Brothers Group, Mr. Nelson was a Principal with L.E.K. Consulting and also previously served as the General Manager, Corporate Development for Fletcher Building in New Zealand and as a consultant at Bain & Company.  Mr. Nelson holds a BS of Engineering from the University of Auckland, a MS of Engineering in Management from the University of Canterbury and an MBA from the University of Michigan.
