iBase-t Appoints Aziz Tahiri as VP and General Manager of EMEA Operations
Appointment strengthens iBase-t's long-standing commitment to aerospace and defense manufacturers across EMEA.
LAKE FOREST, Calif., Oct. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- iBase-t, a leader in digital manufacturing and sustainment software solutions for aerospace and defense, today announced the appointment of Aziz Tahiri as Vice President and General Manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa, strengthening the company's leadership and presence across the region. Based in Toulouse, France, Tahiri's appointment reflects iBase-t's commitment to supporting customers with the people, expertise, and presence they need.
Tahiri brings more than 20 years of experience across aerospace manufacturing, industrial automation, digital transformation, and enterprise software. Most recently, he led global aerospace and defense strategic accounts at Hexagon, partnering with industry-leading organizations on complex digital manufacturing and quality transformation programs. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles in project management, business development, and operations at Exail and RECIF Technologies, working across multiple regions worldwide.
"iBase-t sets the standard for aerospace and defense manufacturing software, and Aziz's appointment strengthens our long-standing commitment to customers across EMEA," said iBase-t CEO Naveen Poonian. "As manufacturers expand capacity and take on increasingly complex programs, they need a partner with the expertise and technology to turn production demands into delivery performance. Aziz brings deep aerospace and defense experience and the drive to help our customers raise the bar for shop floor efficiency and execution."
"What I enjoy most is sitting down with a program team and working out where the process is failing them. Sometimes they already know. Often they don't, and that's where a manufacturing execution system earns its place," said Tahiri. "When everyone can see what's happening on the floor as it happens, problems get caught earlier and quality holds up as volume increases. With backlogs where they are, that can't wait, and I want the iBase-t experts in the room for the conversation."
Tahiri and the iBase-t team will be at MRO Europe, October 27-29, and Aviation Forum in Munich, December 14-15, where customers and partners can meet him and discuss their manufacturing and sustainment priorities.
