ROCHESTER, N.Y., Oct. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Iberdrola USA announces the recent appointments of Carl Taylor as Vice President, Customer Service and Jeff Ballard as Vice President, Operations Technologies & Business Transformation.
Carl Taylor named VP Customer Service
Carl Taylor has been named Vice President, Customer Service for Iberdrola USA. Most recently, Carl was the Vice President of Business Transformation at Iberdrola USA, where he was responsible for leading business strategy development, the business effectiveness and transformation initiative, utility electric & gas research and development, and smart grid/smart meter activities.
Prior to his business transformation role, Taylor was President and CEO of The Energy Network, Inc., a subsidiary of Iberdrola USA, where he managed the growth of the non-utility companies, including retail energy, merchant generation, fiber telecommunications, steam and chilled water production and sales, energy services and property management. Taylor joined the Iberdrola Group in 1987.
Mr. Taylor replaces Neil Clitheroe, who was appointed Chief Executive Officer of ScottishPower's SP Generation Holdings Ltd.
Jeff Ballard named VP Operations Technologies & Business Transformation
Jeff Ballard has been named to the newly created position of Vice President, Operations Technologies & Business Transformation at Iberdrola USA. In this role, Jeff will oversee not only Business Transformation but also will manage technologies specific to operations including Smart Grid, Control Systems and Telecommunications.
Most recently, Jeff led the Iberdrola USA IT organization as Vice President of Information Technology, where he guided the organization's support of business transformation and strategic technology initiatives for the past two years.
Prior to his role as VP of Information Technology, Ballard was Director of IT Infrastructure, where he was responsible for the strategy and operation of Iberdrola USA's network and technical platforms. Ballard joined the Iberdrola Group in 1985.
