iCIMS Employees Volunteered to Clean Local Beach

MATAWAN, N.J., Aug. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- iCIMS, a leading provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) talent acquisition software solutions for growing businesses, announced today that the company recently teamed up with Clean Ocean Action to participate in a beach clean-up at the nearby Sandy Hook beach on August 22^nd. This company-wide event was one of several green initiatives iCIMS has participated in so far this year as part of the company's iGIVE Back program.

Since 2006, iCIMS has made a commitment to preserve and restore the local environment through the iGIVE Back program. The corporate responsibility program enables iCIMS and its employees to partake in charitable opportunities through partnerships with eco-friendly organizations such as Earth Share New Jersey and Clean Ocean Action. Within the program, employees can make financial donations which will be matched by the company, as well as volunteer their time during office hours to park and beach clean-ups throughout the year.

The company-wide beach clean-up in Sandy Hook Township had volunteers assisting in the removal of pollution within the seven-mile stretch of beach. The yearly cleaning of the beach is an effort to protect the 300+ species of migratory birds and forestry indigenous to the area. Earlier this year, employees participated in a park clean-up at Cheesequake State Park, cleaning trash left behind by park visitors, rebuilding decrepit fences, and assisting state park rangers in the protection of the endangered Pink Lady's Slipper.
