Agency Also Recognized as OMMA Award Finalist for Epson, Fairmont and Vail Resorts Work
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Sept. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- iCrossing (http://news.icrossing.com), a global digital marketing agency, today announced that president and CEO, Don Scales, has been named a 2010 OMMA Online All Star in the Media category. This annual award celebrates the digital stars who have "pushed their businesses to new levels of excellence through their outstanding achievements and thought leadership."
Scales joined iCrossing in 2006. Under his leadership, iCrossing evolved from the number one search agency in the U.S. to one of the largest independent digital marketing agencies in the world. In June 2010, Hearst Corporation acquired iCrossing to enhance its digital marketing capabilities. iCrossing continues to operate as an independent agency, while collaborating with Hearst to help clients build connected brands.
Before iCrossing, Scales was CEO at Agency.com, where he managed all aspects of the agency's worldwide operations. BtoB Magazine named Scales one of the top 25 "Who's Who" newsmakers for 2000-2005. He was also named to BtoB Magazine's list of "Who's Who in Search" in 2009. He is an interactive industry veteran, with nearly 30 years as an executive manager.
Scales, along with the other honorees, will be formally recognized at the Online All Stars Cocktail Reception on Sept. 28, during OMMA Global New York Conference and Expo. A special issue featuring the winners will be published in OMMA magazine on October 1.
In addition to Scales' recognition, iCrossing has been recognized by the OMMA Awards as a finalist for work in three categories: EPSON Coolville 'Deal-a-Day' Holiday Promotion (Contest/Promotion/Sweepstakes); Recession Proof Marketing for Fairmont Hotel and Resorts (SEO Campaign); and Vail.com Home Page in the Web Site Excellence. Winners for each category, along with the judge's picks for Best in Show will be announced at the OMMA Awards reception on Sept. 27.
