iCrossing Reinforces Digital Media Practice
Interactive Advertising Innovator Roger Wood Joins Agency
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., May 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- iCrossing (http://news.icrossing.com), a global digital marketing agency, announced the appointment of Roger Wood as vice president, digital media. Wood will be responsible for advertising campaign development, planning and buying for all traditional online, social, video and mobile display media for the agency's growing roster of digital agency of record clients.
Wood has nearly 20 years of experience creating innovative advertising and marketing programs driven by statistical analysis, user experience design and brand strategy. He has held senior marketing roles at Reebok, Ralph Lauren RLX and Motorola, where he was a pioneering advertiser in online video and digital media.
Before his marketing career, he made contributions to a vast range of fields in mobile media, as a central figure in several high profile start-ups, including predecessors to T-Mobile and Nextel. He is credited with launching some of the first applications for mobile web, text messaging and mobile social networks in the early 1990s.
Based in iCrossing's San Francisco office, Wood will report to Christopher Wallace, senior vice president, digital media services, iCrossing.

Wood majored in statistics at Morehouse College, studied computer science at Columbia University and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School.
