ISLANDIA, N.Y., July 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Identity and access management and security professionals from CA Technologies (Nasdaq: CA) will present at the Burton Group Catalyst Conference July 26 – 30 in San Diego. Highlights include "Open Identity for Business Interop" demo on July 28 which will showcase CA Federation Manager's ability to provide Internet single sign-on and standards-based identity federation to help improve the security and ease of accessing multiple cloud and SaaS applications.

Presenting at Catalyst Conference North America are:

Bill Mann, senior vice president, Security Strategy, CA Technologies, will participate in the vendor lightning round held Wednesday, July 28 at 5:30 p.m. PT in the Sapphire AB room. Mann will discuss security challenges presented by cloud and virtualization, and how identity and access management can help meet those security needs.
Matthew Gardiner, director, Security, CA Technologies, will speak on a panel as part of the "Open Identity for Business Interop" on Thursday, July 29 at 9:45 a.m. PT in Sapphire CD. The panel will discuss the interop demo and why open identity is ready for business adoption.
Carrie Gates, researcher, CA Technologies Labs, will present "Applying Visualization to Security Information," on Thursday, July 29 at 10:45 a.m. PT in the Sapphire I room. Gates' discussion will focus on the next steps in security – monitoring and analysis.
John Sabo, Government Relations director, CA Technologies, will present "A Privacy Management Reference Model: A Proposed New OASIS Standard and Why it is Badly Needed" on Friday, July 30 at 9:45 a.m. PT in the Sapphire CD room. Sabo will discuss the Privacy Management Reference Model proposed by OASIS, and its relevance to the rapidly-developing cloud, smart grid, health IT and other networked infrastructures.

In addition, CA Technologies will host a "Top Gun" party in its hospitality suite on Wednesday, July 28, which will feature the "best of the best" technologies for taking control of an IT environment to foster adoption of new technologies such as cloud and virtualization.
