IFE Services Team Wear it Pink for Breast Cancer Charity

The staff at leading in-flight entertainment company, IFE Services, have worn pink for a day as part of a charity initiative by Breast Cancer Campaign.

Staff at IFE Services, the leading in-flight entertainment provider, looked pretty in pink on Friday 28^th October in a bid to raise much-needed funds for research into breast cancer.

Every year, charity Breast Cancer Campaign organises the 'Wear it Pink Day' initiative as part of its ongoing efforts to boost awareness of breast cancer and fund world-class research into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure of the condition.

The IFE Services team supported the initiative for the second consecutive year. Among this year's brightly coloured collection were hats, wigs, feather boas, pyjamas and slippers as the team embraced the importance of the cause. Money was raised through sale of cakes and sweets and a collection amongst staff.

Organising the initiative this year was Clare Martin, IFE Services' Publicity Coordinator. "Breast Cancer Campaign does incredible work to find a cure for a disease that affects thousands of people every single year," said Clare. "Following the tremendous success we had last year in raising money for the Wear it Pink Day, we were determined to be involved again this year and do our bit for this fantastic cause.

In 2010, Wear it Pink raised £2million for research into breast cancer. Throughout the UK, pink-themed fundraising events were organised by schools, companies, friends and families.
