Illinois Congressman Visits Elion Partners' 2,500-acre RidgePort Logistics Park

CHICAGO, Aug. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- On Thursday, August 9^th, Illinois Congressman Adam Kinzinger for District 16 visited the RidgePort Logistics Center ("RidgePort" or "the Park"), a more than 2,500-acre master-planned development. When complete, RidgePort will be the largest distribution center in the Midwest, located in Southwest Greater Chicago. National real estate investment firm Elion Partners (or "Elion") is the owner operator and developer of the park. Elion greeted the Congressman and offered Kinzinger a tour of the recently unveiled 1.5 million square foot distribution facility.

Elion acquired the land for the Park in two phases with the initial closing held in 2015. Today, 6.3 million square feet has been developed with an additional 800,000 planned for speculative development within the next year. The site is projected to provide 12,600 permanent jobs, 680 construction jobs during the development, and economic impacts are projected to reach $1.9 billion per year.
