Imagine Exhibitions Signs 10-Year Agreement With Artist Sean Kenney

ATLANTA, Sept. 25, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Imagine Exhibitions, Inc., a global pioneer in traveling entertainment, today announced a 10-year exclusive contract with artist Sean Kenney to promote indoor and outdoor versions of Kenney's sensational, sculpture-driven exhibitions made with thousands of LEGO pieces to venues around the world.

Kenney is currently working with Imagine Exhibitions, Inc. on two traveling exhibitions: "Art with LEGO® Bricks," an indoor traveling exhibition, and "Nature POP!," an outdoor traveling exhibition for zoos, gardens, parks and museums.  Both exhibitions feature dozens of sculptures hand made by Kenney and his team using LEGO bricks.

"Art with LEGO® Bricks" and its supporting materials offer STEAM and natural history content related to art, innovation, science, nature and more.  The exhibition inspires visitors of all ages to create, innovate, and think about the interconnectedness of our natural world. Further, the exhibition seeks to raise awareness about biodiversity and endangered species in both the animal and plant worlds.

"Nature POP!" utilizes the bright, saturated color palette of LEGO bricks to create highly stylized, colorful silhouettes of natural forms that "POP" out of their surroundings. Just as LEGO pieces interconnect, everything in nature is interconnected in a delicate balance. Insects, plants, and animals have important relationships with one another. "Nature POP!" brings these relationships to life through sculpture, allowing visitors to appreciate the artistry of Kenney's work in conjunction with the the beauty of the surrounding natural world.

Creating art using LEGO pieces is no easy task for Sean Kenney and his team.  A single sculpture takes approximately 200 hours to design and construct.  A full exhibition takes between 5,000 and 7,000 hours to complete.
