iMonitor™ Releases List of Best Magazine & Newspaper Apps of 2010

NEW YORK, Jan. 3, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- McPheters & Company announced today the iMonitor™ list of Best Magazine & Newspaper Apps of 2010.  The company's iMonitor service is currently providing detailed evaluation and global tracking of more than 1000 media-related iPad apps from more than 40 countries.

According to company president Rebecca McPheters, "Tremendous innovation and evolution have occurred in app development since we started tracking tablet apps in April.  These apps represent the best of breed and score in the top 2% of all apps we have evaluated in the last year.  They are not only well designed, but they offer substantial enhancement to the consumer experience compared to both print and web versions."

The list is based on the iMonitor rating system which scores each app based on its design, functionality, and use of rich content.  Each variable is evaluated on a five-point scale and rolled up into a single App Rating with a maximum potential value of 15.
