TAMPA, Fla., Nov. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- imortgage, one of the top retail mortgage lenders in the country, participated in the Tampa Bay Builders Association (TBBA) Chili Cook Off competition in October. The annual event took place at the Tampa Tribune office. Each year, the Tampa Bay Builders Association Sales and Marketing Council announces and installs its new board members at this event.

Team imortgage was recognized in three ways. Our top notch team took home three kinds of recognition at this year's event; imortgage Tampa winning recipe with just the right mix of leadership, new business growth and even chili. Jonathan Davis, imortgage loan consultant brought home top award for the winning chili recipe, which received first place. Davis joined imortgage earlier this year, helping the team grow and meet area demands.

Robert Paredes, sales manager, was installed on the board of the Sales and Marketing Council for his first term. With over 17 years of mortgage industry expertise, Paredes is recognized as a highly experienced leader who has aided in the successful expansion of the imortgage retail presence. Laura Kennedy, southeast regional builder manager, was installed as a second term board member on the TBAA SMC.

Finally, the imortgage team was also awarded the honor of "People's Choice Award" at the event.
