Impact & Influence Event Brings Orlando Leaders Together to Support Tunnel to Towers Foundation
The event, sponsored partially by Shield Advisory Group, aimed to raise awareness of the sacrifice made on 9/11
ORLANDO, Fla., Sept. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- On the anniversary of 9/11, entrepreneurs, investors, and community leaders gathered at Norman's at the Dellagio for Impact & Influence, an evening dedicated to connection, philanthropy, and honoring America's heroes.
The event brought together Orlando's top business and community voices with one mission: to raise funds and awareness for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation. Through the generosity of attendees and sponsors, significant contributions were made to support the foundation's work.
Standing for Something Bigger
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation was created to honor FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller, who ran through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel with 60 pounds of gear on 9/11 to save others, ultimately giving his life. Today, his legacy continues through programs that:
- Build smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans
- Provide mortgage-free homes to families of fallen first responders and Gold Star Families
- Develop Veterans Villages and national case management networks to ensure every veteran has a place to call home
A Personal Connection to 9/11
For event co-organizers Matthew R. Meehan and Luigi Rosabianca, the mission carried special weight. Both men worked near Ground Zero during 9/11, an experience that left an indelible mark on their lives. Impact & Influence was their humble gesture to give back to those who gave so much; the heroes who created the safety within which we all thrive today.
