Important Safety Notice: Recall of Select PC® Brand Hummus Products

BRAMPTON, ON, May 28, 2015 /CNW/ - Loblaw Companies Limited is expanding its recall of select varieties of PC® brand hummus, including the varieties noted below, as they may contain the toxin produced by Staphylococcus bacteria. Consumers should not consume the recalled products.

The products were sold at the following locations before May 29, 2015:

Ontario: Fortinos®, Loblaws®, No Frills®, Box by No Frills™, Real Canadian Superstore®, Valu-Mart®, Your Independent Grocer®, Zehrs®, Shoppers Drug Mart® and affiliated independent stores

Atlantic: Atlantic Superstore®, Dominion®, No Frills®, Save Easy®, Your Independent Grocer® and Shoppers Drug Mart®

Québec: Loblaws®, Maxi®, Maxi & Cie®, Provigo®, Provigo le Marché®, Pharmaprix® and affiliated independent stores

West: Extra Foods®, No Frills®, Box by No Frills™, Real Canadian Superstore®, Real Canadian Wholesale Club®, Your Independent Grocer®, Shoppers Drug Mart® and affiliated independent stores

All units have been removed from store shelves across the country.

Customers can return the products to the place of purchase and the customer service desk will provide a full refund.
