When the RTR launches in Q4 of 2026, transactions will clear and settle around the clock in a matter of seconds. The operational rollout will proceed in distinct phases, focusing initially on real-time transaction fraud monitoring and alert management to ensure RTR compliance before expanding to integrate more payment types and broader financial crime capabilities tailored specifically to the shifting compliance mandates of the Canadian retail payments market. This includes Feedzai IQ Score, an AI-native federated learning fraud network scoring solution announced in June.
