In-Shape Health Clubs Hires Ralph Rajs

STOCKTON, Calif., March 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- In-Shape Health Clubs, California's top community destination for health and fitness, announced today a new vice president of fitness innovation and programming, Ralph Rajs, as part of its focus on creating the best fitness experience for members.  

An accomplished senior executive, with demonstrated success across the health club and hotel industries, Mr. Rajs brings over 20 years of experience in fitness and multi-club management.

Most recently a senior vice president with a Northern Californian health club chain, Mr. Rajs looks to his new role at In-Shape as an opportunity to impact even more people by delivering inspiring and motivating fitness programming across its more than 65 health clubs.

Mr. Rajs will be responsible for driving In-Shape's strategy for new products, programs, partnerships, and fitness education for Group Fitness and Training. He will also lead recreational programs such as swim lessons, tennis, racquetball, pickleball, swim lessons, and summer camps. 

He started his love affair with the fitness industry while studying nutrition in college when he worked as the locker room attendant at a local health club. He was excited to come to work every day and saw firsthand the positive impact fitness had on people's lives. This, in combination with his personal passion for living an active lifestyle, led him to pursue his career in the industry after graduation.  He has held many roles in the industry across operations, wellness, fitness and well respected as a leader who drives high performance by creating a great member experience and investing in a great team.

An avid runner and cyclist, he has completed five Ironman triathlons and countless other events including 11 marathons in cities across the U.S. Among his many industry honors, Mr. Rajs was honored by Club Solutions Magazine as the "Most Fit Health Club Professional in America" in January 2008 and named GM of the Year by IHRSA.
