LOS ANGELES, June 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- InBody will be releasing the InBodyS10 in July 2015. The InBodyS10 is an advanced body composition analyzer that focuses on body water, designed specifically for those whom find testing on a conventional scale is inconvenient or impractical, and can test patients in various positions including supine (lying down).
The InBodyS10's signature feature is its ability to perform segmental body water analysis. This capability expands on the InBodyS10's ability to accurately report Total Body Water, Intracellular Water, Extracellular Water, and the corresponding ratios between them by further breaking down this information down segmentally, giving reports for the body's five regions: the two arms, two legs, and the trunk.
"Segmental water analysis affords physicians deeper insight into the amount of body water accumulation that occurs between treatments, allowing for more precise monitoring of swelling," said Joseph Han, Senior Product Manager at InBody. Another unique feature of the InBodyS10 is the "InBody Touch Type" electrodes. Although similar in function to traditional adhesive electrodes, the InBody Touch Type electrodes incorporate InBody's patented thumb electrode technology, which ensures high degrees of accuracy and reproducibility.
The dimensions of the InBodyS10 are such that the device may be carried by hand or secured onto a cart and moved. Physicians who visit patients in different rooms and/or locations will be able to provide body water and body composition analysis to their patients, regardless of their immediate location.
