When employees feel included at work, they are 28 percent more engaged and three times more likely to stay. This research underscores the need for organizations to look beyond diversity hiring metrics – and toward building workplace cultures that foster inclusion.

New Limeade Institute research reveals that inclusive workforces help people feel welcomed, known, valued and encouraged to bring their whole, unique selves to work. Specifically, when employees feel included, they are:
- 28 percent more engaged at work
- 3 times more likely to stay at their organization
- 43 percent more committed to their organization
- 51 percent more likely to recommend their company as a great place to work
The research also reveals that employees who feel included report 19 percent higher well-being. And while leader and manager behavior is important for perceptions of inclusion, peer interactions play a more significant role.
