SEATTLE, Oct. 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second consecutive year, InDemand Interpreting, a leading provider of comprehensive language services management for Healthcare, provided Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) services for the Seattle/King County Clinic held at the KeyArena October 22-25, 2015.
The Seattle/King County Clinic offered a full range of free dental, vision and medical care to underserved and vulnerable populations in the region. The effort, involving months of preparation and thousands of volunteers, transformed KeyArena into the largest clinic of its kind in Washington State. As many as 4,000 patients were served by more than 3,600 healthcare professionals and general support volunteers, providing more than $3 million in healthcare services.
In 2014, InDemand Interpreting provided 4,216 minutes of interpretation in more than 30 languages to clinic participants. This year, InDemand Interpreting provided 4,500 minutes of interpretation and answered more than 800 calls. In addition to on demand interpreting services, InDemand provided wireless network infrastructure throughout KeyArena to support the event.

InDemand Interpreting VRI enabled clinic staff to use interpreters via a live, web-based video conference with medically trained and certified interpreters. The system provided the clinic with access to interpreters in more than 200 languages, including American Sign Language.
