Index AR Solutions Announces Teaming Agreement with Newport News Shipbuilding

WILLIAMSBURG, Va., March 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Index AR Solutions (Index) and Newport News Shipbuilding (NNS) announce a teaming agreement that will transform industry by providing engineering services using augmented reality (AR), which is the overlay of digital information on the real world.  The Index/NNS teaming agreement allows Index to use NNS' extensive AR intellectual property, use NNS' practical experience with dozens of AR pilots and projects, and lease NNS' growing team of AR experts for commercial clients.  Under the teaming agreement, NNS will continue to market AR technology and services to the federal government, especially its primary customer, the U.S. Navy.  Index will market these unique and world-class augmented reality solutions to all other enterprises and organizations, focusing initially on large industrial companies in the U.S.
