SAN DIEGO, Aug. 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Career Opportunities in Organized Crime, an independent film released today, is set to put all proceeds towards the creation of a non-for-profit pharmaceutical company, "Osh's Not-for-Profit Pharmaceuticals." Mylan Pharmaceuticals has recently caused outrage over a gradual list price increase of its epinephrine auto-injector of over 400%. The raw pharmaceutical ingredients in the injector only cost a few cents but the product costs over $600, with no competitors available. Last year, Turing pharmaceuticals notoriously increased the price of Daraprim, antibiotic used by AIDS and cancer patients by over 2000%.
Osh's Not-for-Profit Pharmaceuticals is planning to take on these practices by producing cheap generic drugs with a 95% - 99% price reduction for most products. It is planning to begin operations in 2017.
Career Opportunities in Organized Crime, is an independent film being released today by Akibimi Productions. The film is a "mocku-mentary" that follows the filming of a recruitment video for the Russian mafia. All proceeds will go to Osh's Not-for-Profit Pharmaceuticals. Viewer's who purchase the film will have their donation go to the creation of the not-for-profit pharmaceutical company.
This film is also the first every shot with both conventional and virtual reality cinema cameras.
