LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- California-based Industrial Metal Supply (IMS) is dropping the hammer and heading to Johnson Valley, California, to help off-roaders in one of the most brutal off-road races in the world.
IMS will continue its annual participation with the "King of the Hammers" off-road event. Scheduled for February 2–10, 2018, the headline event boasts only about a 20% completion rate amongst competitors. Several classes of other races will take place throughout the week, but the main event takes place on February 9, 2018.
Industrial Metal Supply is dedicated to helping racers achieve their goal of finishing this race. That's why they're proud to once again work with RuffStuff Specialties to host a "Repair Zone" to racers. The metal, welding equipment, and repairs will be offered free of cost to all "Rock Crawlers." The race terrain is rough and remote by design, making this onsite repair opportunity a game changer for racers.
In addition, IMS is proud to offer a 20% discount on products to those who stop by their booth during the event, where attendees can join a free Women's Welding Workshop on Tuesday (Feb 6th) from 1-3pm, hosted by the Ladies Offroad Network. IMS will also be handing out free dust masks at their booth, as well as donating steel tube sheet and plates to the ESAB repair pit, to make sure all spectators have an optimal experience in the desert environment.
IMS is proud to support all racers at the event with repair pit resources, and especially excited to see our partnered racers such as Sara Price, Mitch Guthrie, Jessi Combs, Andrew McLaughlin, Marc Burnett, and John Grounds compete in 2018.
