SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- The Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® proudly announces Karl Lee, a highly visible industry leader in community issues and in organized real estate, to be its 2010 President.
Lee is the broker and owner of Realty World Results Pros, which has offices in Milpitas and Burlingame. He served as president-elect, vice president, and treasurer of SCCAOR before ascending to the presidency.
Lee has been involved in a range of high-profile community groups that seek to address critical quality-of-life issues in Santa Clara County. He serves on the board of directors of "Don't Borrow Trouble – Silicon Valley," a coalition that fights predatory lending and has organized several foreclosure prevention fairs for local homeowners. As a member of the San Jose General Plan Task Force, he gives the REALTOR® perspective on the city's land use policy for the next 30 years.
Lee is a director at the California Association of REALTORS and has served as vice chair of the Taxation Committee. He is a former president of the Chinese-American Real Estate Association.
As president of SCCAOR, Lee sets three goals for the association: (1) deeper roots within five groups – the membership, the media, the local government, the business community and the public; (2) broader involvement from the membership; and (3) higher professionalism among REALTORS®.
"This time of challenge and promise is an opportunity to reaffirm our association's leadership in the industry and in the community," Lee said. "We will do so by becoming a trusted source and by promoting REALTOR® values. With support from our members, industry colleagues, and community members, this year will be 'a championship season' for Santa Clara County REALTORS® and homebuyers."
