The financing marks a significant step forward for the Roadrunner Project, which will produce approximately 23,000 tonnes per year (7.6 million gallons) of synthetic sustainable aviation fuel (eSAF) and other low-carbon eFuel products using renewable electricity and captured carbon dioxide. Long-term offtake agreements have been secured with American Airlines and International Airlines Group (IAG), the parent company of British Airways, Aer Lingus, and other global carriers.

Construction is already underway. The Roadrunner Project is among the first large-scale synthetic fuel facilities in the U.S. to secure institutional financing, setting a precedent for how clean energy ventures can be delivered with private sector backing.
