WASHINGTON, Nov. 22, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Studies project that by 2018 there will be over eight million STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) jobs available, but as many of three million of those jobs won't be filled, because there won't be enough people with the necessary skills.

First Book, a nonprofit social enterprise that provides new books to kids in need, in partnership with Lockheed Martin, has published an original infographic illustrating this problem – and opportunity.
