InformedDNA Names Lee Fowinkle as Chief Technology Officer

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 15, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- InformedDNA announced today the appointment of Lee Fowinkle as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Fowinkle will be responsible for helping InformedDNA leverage its digital properties to enhance its genetic counseling and utilization management services.

Fowinkle will oversee the day to day technology infrastructure for InformedDNA, ensuring that InformedDNA's network of genetic counselors have the optimal resources to allow them to work together seamlessly and provide patients with a top notch clinical experience.

His initial priorities include building and deploying a genetic testing utilization management automation platform. This will establish the final link in InformedDNA's transition from purely healthcare services to a tech-enabled healthcare solutions business.

Prior to joining InformedDNA, Fowinkle was the senior vice president of technology for the Physician Practice Solutions business at McKesson Corporation.  In that role he was responsible for the software engineering and product management teams designing and developing seven of McKesson's ambulatory practice management and electronic medical records products. He has spent over 20 years leading engineering and product management organizations for GE Healthcare's Centricity Products, Millbrook Corporation's practice management products, Zix Corporation's ePrescribing products, and the homecare automation products of Homecare Homebase.
