Innovation and RxSafe, LLC Partner to Bring Together Pharmacy Automation Product Suites

JOHNSON CITY, N.Y., and SAN DIEGO, Aug. 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Innovation, makers of PharmASSIST® pharmacy automation solutions, and RxSafe, makers of the RxSafe® and RxVault™ systems, today announced that they have signed a partnership agreement that enables Innovation to distribute the RxSafe product line of automated, high density robotic storage and retrieval systems for pharmacies. The two companies will share a booth (#782) at the upcoming NACDS Pharmacy & Technology Conference in Boston, MA on August 27-30.

RxSafe's core technology automatically and securely stores, retrieves, and tracks pharmacy inventory down to the pill or package. The high-density storage systems handle pharmacy inventory in native packaging.

• The RxSafe 1800 System provides secure robotic storage and retrieval for 1800 native prescription containers. When scaled to a three-tower system, it provides storage and retrieval for the entire inventory of a retail pharmacy (up to 5400 native prescription containers) in less than 40 square feet of floor space. The system allows pharmacies to accurately fill and track prescriptions, manage inventory, eliminate theft and diversion, and avoid expired product. Using the customizable RxSafe System in multi-operator mode, pharmacies can fill up to 500 prescriptions per hour.

• The RxVault System, which is based on RxSafe's core technology, automatically, securely, and accurately tracks narcotics and other high-shrink inventory while providing a completely verifiable chain of custody and helping to ensure full regulatory compliance.
