In other security & body - mobile camera news and happenings:  Tyco (NYSE: TYC) recently announced the appointment of Girish Rishi as Executive Vice President, North America Installation & Services and Tyco Retail Solutions.  In this role, Mr. Rishi will have responsibility for Tyco's commercial fire and security businesses  in the U.S. and Canada, a segment with nearly $3.9 billion in revenue in fiscal year 2014, as well as the global Tyco Retail Solutions vertical market business.  He will report to George Oliver, Tyco's Chief Executive Officer.  Most recently, Mr. Rishi served as Senior Vice President, Enterprise Visibility and Mobility, with Zebra Technologies.

Shares of Taser International (NASDAQ:TASR) and Digital Ally (NASDAQ:DGLY) fell sharply this past Monday as the field of competitors expanded again in the hot officer-worn camera market.  Panasonic late Friday announced it's coming out with a next-generation Arbitrator camera and enhanced Unified Evidence Management System. The Arbitrator features 720p high-definition video resolution and a wide camera angle. It can be integrated with Panasonic's Arbitrator 360 degree HD in-car video system and off-loads data wirelessly to its evidence system.  On this past Monday, the White House said the Justice Department has released an online clearinghouse of resources to help implement body-worn camera programs.  Earlier this month, the department announced a $20 million pilot grant program to help local law enforcement agencies develop camera and digital evidence systems.  Taser was down more than 2% in heavy volume in the stock market Monday.
