Inovonics Launches New Waterproof Pendant for Senior Living Communities

LOUISVILLE, Colo., Sept. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Inovonics, an industry leader in high-performance wireless sensor networks for life safety applications, announces the release of its new EN1221S-60 waterproof senior living pendant. This new pendant is for independent and assisted living communities, designed to enhance a resident's ability to call for help.

The new pendant comes in tailored wrist and neck lanyard options.  Residents wearing the pendant may press the button at any time if they feel they need help or have an emergency of any kind.  Once the button is pressed the device notifies caregivers through an emergency call system.

Todd Stanley, Senior Product Manager of Senior Living at Inovonics, had the following to say about the design and use of the new senior living pendant:

"A wireless emergency call system functions effectively when residents and staff are satisfied with the pendant's appearance, performance and functionality. The new EN1221S-60 waterproof pendant was designed with resident satisfaction and staff productivity as our primary concerns."

Resident Focused
The new pendant allows residents to maintain an active and independent lifestyle without sacrificing safety or style. The EN1221S-60 is 60% smaller and 60% lighter than our previous pendant. It is attractive and discreet, with a smooth shape and polished finish that makes it comfortable for continuous use. It is also waterproof, allowing residents to safely shower or bathe while wearing the pendant.

Caregiver Approved
Caregivers want pendants that are dependable and easy to operate. The EN1221S-60 senior living pendant offers the reliability and functionality they demand. The EN1221S-60 functions over the proven EchoStream® wireless network and is certified for use in UL 2560 listed emergency call systems.
