inPractice Africa to Speak, Host Users Group and Share Its Unique Online and Offline Educational Platform at SAHIVCS 2014 Conference

RESTON, Va. and PRETORIA, South Africa, Sept. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Clinical Care Options (CCO) today announced that it will have a significant presence at the 2nd annual conference of the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society (SAHIVCS) in Cape Town, South Africa, 24-27 September 2014. During the course of the 4-day conference, CCO will present at the SAHIVCS Technology Symposium, host an interactive user group and reception, and provide live demonstrations of inPractice® Africa in the exhibit hall.

Produced and funded by USAID and PEPFAR, in partnership with Foundation for Professional Development and the University of the Witwatersrand, inPractice Africa is designed to deliver both online and offline digital education and serve as a point-of-care resource to help clinicians make treatment decisions to all devices in resource-constrained settings. The resource is regularly updated and can be used both for structured training with CPD credit or to quickly search for answers at the point of care. It is available via the inPracticeAfrica.com Web site, an installable Windows application, and Apple and Android apps for smartphones and tablets. In April 2014, the company signed a partnership agreement to bring inPractice® Africa to more than 3000 SAHIVCS members throughout Southern Africa.

On 27 September at 10:30, Edward King, MA, Chief Innovation Officer, Clinical Care Options, will join a panel as part of the SAHIVCS Technology Symposium, where he will share how the inPractice team applied technological innovation to bring digital learning and an easy-to-use point-of-care reference to South African clinicians during the past year.

Conference attendees can experience inPractice Africa for themselves in the Exhibition Hall, Stand 1, throughout the conference. In addition, the company will host a user group and reception, where users of the platform will have the opportunity to give feedback and ask questions about the resource. The group discussion will be followed by a reception with food and drink. The user group and reception will take place at 18:30, 25 September 2014, in room 2.61 of the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
