Inspirational Mom And Star Leigh Anne Tuohy (The Blind Side) Hosts Mother's Day Marathon On GMC TV, This Sunday, May 12

ATLANTA, May 9, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- GMC TV, America's leading destination for "Uplifting Entertainment," celebrates Mother's Day this Sunday, May 12 with a special programming marathon hosted by Leigh Anne Tuohy, the real-life inspiration for the Academy Award®-nominated film The Blind Side and star of her own upcoming World Premiere Series "Family Addition with Leigh Anne Tuohy."  Beginning at 1:00 pm ET, this day-long "mom-a-thon" will feature a collection of "motherly" episodes from GMC's beloved family series, including "Touched by An Angel" and "7^th Heaven."  Mother's Day on Walton's Mountain, a special 1982 reunion TV-movie inspired by the long-running series, will kick off and conclude the day.

Two members of "Team Tuohy" -- Tuohy's vivacious daughter, Collins, and witty special educator "Miss Sue" Mitchell – will join Leigh Anne as co-hosts for the Mother's Day marathon.  The pair will also co-star with Leigh Anne on "Family Addition with Leigh Anne Tuohy."

"Family Addition with Leigh Anne Tuohy," produced by Tremendous! Entertainment, is a fun, inspirational and big-hearted series that follows a different family in each episode as they go through the practical, physical and emotional process of adding a new family member. The series also facilitates a makeover of part of the families' homes to accommodate the new family additions. Tuohy provides the series' creative vision and oversees the weekly home improvement projects with her team.  The series makes its world television premiere on Friday, June 7 at 9 p.m. EDT just days after the network adopts its new name – UP - on June 1.
