Institute for Supply Management® Honors 30 Under 30 Rising Supply Chain Stars

TEMPE, Ariz., March 10, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The Institute for Supply Management^® (ISM^®) announced the winners of the 2019-2020 ISM 30 Under 30 Rising Supply Chain Stars recognition program to honor global emerging leaders across various industries and supply management disciplines. The top nominee or "megawatt" winner from the 30 Under 30 was Brandon Hummons, CPSM^®, a consultant for Corcentric.

Now in its sixth year, the ISM program honors individuals who are 30 or younger and demonstrate leadership, innovation, collaboration and other outstanding attributes--at work and through their professional associations. Hundreds of applications are received annually, and a rigorous review process assesses candidates based on detailed nominations provided by professional peers, leaders and executives.

Intended to help bridge the talent gap in procurement and supply management, the program provides peer role models to millennials and Generation Z students seeking out exciting new career opportunities.

Working in the U.S. as well as Switzerland, the honorees are making their mark on the manufacturing, aerospace and defense, technology, healthcare, pharmaceutical, beverage, automotive, government and retail industries, among others.

Megawatt winner Brandon Hummons, CPSM^®, a motivated 28-year-old, for example, has a reputation as a self-starter and keen collaborator. He immerses himself into client procurement projects in his consultant role, has saved millions in information technology indirect spend at one organization and helped create an optimized procurement department from the ground up at another. He chairs the Emerging Professionals Committee for ISM-Chicago, is a champion for talent diversity and inclusion, and provides procurement strategy and business coaching to minority and small business as part of his own Hummons Consulting, LLC.
