Insureon Launches Dedicated Microsite for Nation's Smallest Food Businesses

CHICAGO, Sept. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Insureon, the nation's leading online provider of insurance for small and micro businesses, today launched foodservices.insureon.com, a microsite dedicated to providing risk management resources to the owners of the nation's smallest food services businesses, which employ more than 1.3 million people and contribute more than $31.7 billion to the US economy.

Designed to help caterers, restaurants, bakeries, cafes, bars, food trucks, and other food services businesses manage their risk exposures, the site includes a variety of how-tos and guides, including a flowchart to help businesses identify which insurance policies can most effectively mitigate their risks and sample quotes that offer a ballpark idea of what they can expect to pay.

Devine is referring to the Frequently Asked Questions page, which lets site users submit a question about coverage if they can't find the information they need.

The microsite is part of a move on insureon's part to emphasize customer education as a risk reduction strategy. In addition to the rollout of the Food Services resources, insureon also recently launched the Insureon Small Business Institute (ISBI), a research arm dedicated to publishing analytics of policy costs in small commercial insurance. In the coming months, the company plans to introduce industry-specific resources for professions outside of food services.
