Integrative Healthcare Symposium (IHS) Names David Perlmutter, MD, and Jeffrey Bland, PhD as Chair and Vice Chair for IHS 2027
Taking place February 18-20, 2027, in New York City, the world-renowned integrative and functional medicine leaders will guide the agenda for the 22nd Annual Symposium
NEEDHAM, Mass., Oct. 13, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The Integrative Healthcare Symposium (IHS) today announced David Perlmutter, MD, FACN, as Chair and Jeffrey Bland, PhD, as Vice Chair of the 22nd Annual Integrative Healthcare Symposium, taking place February 18–20, 2027, at the New York Hilton Midtown.
As Chair and Vice Chair, Dr. Perlmutter and Dr. Bland will set the direction for IHS 2027 by lending their leadership and expertise to the agenda and working closely with the IHS Advisory Board to ensure that the Symposium reflects the most important developments in integrative healthcare and the evolving needs of the practitioner community. Together, they will create an all-new evidence-based program for the 22nd Annual Symposium that is focused on rigorous science, clinical relevance, and practical approaches that healthcare professionals can apply to patient care to improve health outcomes.
"We're at an important inflection point in integrative healthcare," said David Perlmutter, MD, FACN, Chair of IHS 2027. "The science is evolving faster than our clinical models can keep pace with, and that gap is exactly where the opportunity lies. IHS brings together clinicians from every discipline to look critically at what the research is actually telling us, to question assumptions that may no longer serve our patients, and to turn that understanding into care that changes outcomes, not just conversations."
"We are so excited about the 2027 Integrative Healthcare Symposium program that reflects the amazing advances being made in personalized health care. The program is designed to give all attendees the opportunity to connect with individuals pioneering advances in the 'new medicine.' This will be both a skill-building and personally energizing event," said Jeffrey Bland, PhD.
IHS 2027 will bring together more than 2,000 healthcare professionals from across the integrative healthcare community, spanning medicine, nursing, nutrition, naturopathic and functional medicine, mind-body medicine, and other areas of care. The three-day Symposium will combine emerging research and practical clinical education with opportunities to exchange perspectives, build connections, and engage with colleagues across disciplines.
